“Finding Aids” are concise guides to archival collections, covering scope (i.e. what comprises this collection?), content (what, precisely, is in this collection?), use guidelines (who may use it?) and provenance (where did it come from?).

Finding aids can be helpful when a general overview, rather than specific content, of collections is needed.

There is a corresponding finding aid for each of the PIRC's six major collections:

 

With the exception of architectural drawings, maps and surveys, finding aids can be accessed only on-site in the PIRC. Contact us for an appointment.
